The Montessori Philosophy
The Montessori method responds to the developmental needs of the whole child. In the carefully prepared environment of a Montessori classroom, children learn using materials that engage their senses and are specifically crafted for young minds and bodies. With a trained teacher to guide them, these multi-sensorial materials foster cognitive development and motor skills at each child's individual pace. The Montessori method emphasizes self-care, grace and courtesy, and respect for self, others, and the environment. This globally successful program honors all aspects of a child's development (intellectual, physical, social and emotional) while enhancing his or her innate love of learning.
Our Academic Programs
We currently offer an Early-Primary Program for children ages 18 months to 3 years old and a Primary Program for children ages 3 to 6 years old. Both classes are offered Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
What Our Families Are Saying:
"It’s hard to fully describe the feeling of warmth that comes from the DMS teachers and community. We can’t imagine giving our kids a better foundation to love learning and care for others. We truly believe DMS is what school was meant to be—a peaceful place where they can grow in their abilities and confidence."
